The representative of the Yazidi religious component, Mahma Khalil, called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani to extend the work of the United Nations investigative team (UNITAD) specialized in investigating the crimes of the terrorist organization ISIS, considering the end of the team’s mission as the biggest blow to the Yazidi cause.

He continued, “The committee ended its work after the tense relationship between Iraq and the United Nations, without completing its investigations or opening the codes of ISIS and their collaborators.”
He considered it “important to restore The committee opened the way for it to complete its investigations until the return of the displaced Yazidis and the closure of the return file, and to investigate the fate of the disappeared, whose number is more than 2,500, as well as the mass graves.”
He explained, “Among the information that the team possesses are the countries to which the ISIS members who came to belong to Iraq during the crisis and their committing crimes against humanity against the Yazidis and the rest of the Iraqi people, as well as the fate of the missing members of the Yazidi component.
