Today, Sunday, Head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zaidan, discussed with the Head of the United Nations Mission in Iraq, Jeanine Plasschaert, the role of the judiciary in the Kurdistan Regional Parliament elections.[/size]
[size=45]The judicial media said in a statement, “Judge Zidane received on Sunday, 3/31/2024, the representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Mission in Iraq, Jeanine Plasschaert.”[/size]
[size=45]The statement added, “Zidane discussed with Plasschaert the role of the federal judiciary in the Kurdistan Regional Parliament elections.”[/size]
[size=45]The Kurdistan Regional Government has set the tenth of next June as the date for holding parliamentary elections in the region.[/size]
[size=45]Earlier last week, the Independent High Electoral Commission announced the opening of registration for political alliances for the 2024 Kurdistan Regional Parliament elections.[/size]
