Today, Monday, a member of the Parliamentary Health and Environment Committee, Alaa Al-Rikabi, criticized the House of Representatives’ delay in putting a number of important laws on the agenda.
Al-Rikabi said in a press interview: “There are important laws that have been suspended for a long time, in addition to some laws that have been postponed since previous parliamentary sessions due to political differences and lack of agreement on them.”
He added, "The Parliamentary Health Committee has many laws that have not been enacted since the third parliamentary session, stressing the work to mature these laws and present them to the Council's agenda."
He pointed out that "there are important laws since the previous sessions languishing in the drawers of the House of Representatives awaiting political consensus on them, stressing the need to expedite the legislation of important laws that affect the life of the Iraqi citizen."
