The former Kurdish representative of the Kurdistan Justice Party, Ahmed Al-Haj Rashid, today, Thursday, refused to settle the salaries of Kurdistan employees in the region’s banks, while indicating that the goal of settling salaries in the region’s banks is for the purpose of special goals and projects.
Haj Rashid said, “The regional government insists on localizing salaries in its banks for its own goals and projects,” adding that “localization in federal banks is the demand of the Kurdish people, and everyone, including the Iraqi government, must not respond to pressures that have a special project, called My Account, that you want to benefit from at the expense of The general interest of the Kurdish people.”
The Kurdistan Regional Government had announced the participation of federal banks in the “My Account” banking project, after obtaining the approval of the Central Bank of Iraq, including the Bank of Baghdad and the Trade Bank of Iraq.
