    The Parliamentary Services and Reconstruction Committee sees the government measures to provide residential complexes whose infrastructure has been planned as a new development to solve the housing crisis.
    Committee member Madiha Al-Moussawi said, in a statement followed by Al-Eqtisad News Agency, that “the coming days will witness a conference with companies to initiate the construction of residential complexes for which road plans have been completed, and they are part of the solution with complementary steps for Bismayah apartments and similar ones that exist in the rest of the governorates, provided that The state gets a share of 20% within Baghdad and 10% for the governorates.
    She added, "The investor was previously given lands inside Baghdad at high prices and sold them at ridiculous prices due to their distinguished geographical location, which was the mistake of the Investment Authority. We hope that construction operations will continue properly and at normal prices in which employees and citizens can buy housing units."
    Al-Mousawi explained, “There are other problems that are challenges to the government in the roads and bridges sector, as a result of the overlap of powers between the governorate, the Ministry of Construction and Housing, and the Baghdad Municipality in the capital.”
    She pointed out that "there are three joint entities, including the Municipality of Baghdad with 14 municipalities and 8 departments, while the governorate is responsible for the districts and districts, while the Ministry of Municipalities is responsible for roads, while the Municipality of Baghdad has relinquished its responsibilities in some areas to the Ministry of Construction and Municipalities."
