    Information / Baghdad..
Member of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, Ali Al-Bandawi, confirmed today, Saturday, that the American forces entered Iraq for the purpose of occupation.
Al-Bandawi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma Agency, "The American forces entered Iraq in 2003 and overthrew the former regime, and then announced that they were occupying forces."
He added, "Iraq concluded a long-term strategic agreement with the United States of America, and in light of it, it withdrew most of its forces from Iraqi territory."
He continued, saying, "A new security agreement was concluded between the Iraqi government and the United States of America to schedule the remaining foreign forces inside Iraqi territory."
He pointed out that "violating Iraqi airspace to target neighboring countries is contrary to political norms," noting that "the United States of America has committed itself to protecting Iraqi airspace and territory according to the concluded strategic agreement."
He pointed out that "the Iraqi constitution, in clear articles, stipulates that Iraqi territory should not be used as a launching pad for aggression against neighboring countries," stressing that "the United States of America is the first to be convicted of targeting the Islamic Republic of Iran."
