[rtl]Economist Thaer Abbas confirmed that Donald Trump's arrival to the US presidency will affect the Iraqi economy. [/rtl]
[rtl]Abbas said, in a study published by the Al-Bayan Center for Studies, that Trump's policy aims to implement the low oil price strategy, but within certain limits so as not to lose or negatively affect his allies from the oil-exporting countries, noting that this will negatively affect the Iraqi economy as it depends heavily on oil revenues. [/rtl]
[rtl]He pointed out that if prices are reduced, the Iraqi budget will be exposed to severe pressures, which will exacerbate the economic crises. Expectations indicate that oil prices may not witness long-term stability if American production increases, which will make Iraq vulnerable to economic and financial fluctuations. [/rtl]
[rtl]He pointed out that Trump's policy may lead to an escalation of tensions with Iran, by putting pressure on its oil exports and tightening sanctions, which will affect the Iraqi currency and increase inflation, due to the instability in the prices of imported goods and commodities, as Iraq is a major importer of goods.[/rtl]
