    Went
    to Iraq on a high-level delegation from the electricity sector to
    activate the cooperation protocols signed during a visit by Dr. Hicham
    Qandil of Iraq last week.

    The delegation will conclude the
    negotiations conducted by the electricity Minister Ahmed during his
    visit and identify action programmes for immediate implementation of the
    delegation of Iraq in the coming weeks include equipment manufacturers
    and implementing projects. According to the Republic.

    The
    Egyptian delegation Mohammed Morsi first under-Secretary Ministry of
    electricity and electricity facility planning Chief Hafez salmawy,
    President of the electricity transmission company engineer Fathallah
    Shelby and leaders of a number of electricity production and
    distribution companies.

    Eng. Ahmed held the Minister of

    and the Egyptian political leadership in Iraq as he reviewed a report

    States.

    The Minister stressed the importance of the Iraqi market
    for equipment and gear manufacturer in Egypt and electrical contracting
    companies that can contribute effectively to the reconstruction of the
    electricity network, adding that he will be signing contracts of a
    number of companies, including the new joint company for construction
    & contracting and maintenance under the new strategy implemented by
    the electricity sector to intensify contact with the Arabic and African
    countries to open new markets for Egyptian companies to export products
    and electrical gear produced by completing special interconnection
    cooperation projects to ensure current and future energy supply in These
    States Saudi Arabia and Libya, Iraq and Sudan and Nile basin countries.

    Another
    delegation said the electricity sector would visit Libya in the coming
    days to discuss the position of the joint companies and areas of
    cooperation and new projects which could be implemented by companies as
    well as to attend company meetings and joint Egyptian-Libyan company is
    configured to perform electrical work in Libya and the African States.
