He showed the new South Korean ambassador to Iraq, Sung Wong yup, his country's readiness to provide support for Iraq in its war against terrorism and a relief to the displaced.
The Korean Ambassador was speaking during a meeting with head of a coalition of state law, Nuri al-Maliki in the latter's office in Baghdad.
A statement from Maliki's office received by all of Iraq [where] a copy of it, the two sides "discussed during the meeting, issues of common concern were emphasized on strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries."
Maliki reiterated "the strength of the South Korean-Iraqi relations and the volume between the two countries in various fields of cooperation," expressing his "gratitude to the Republic of Korea, which supported Iraq against terrorism."
He said president of a coalition of state law to "the importance of attracting Korean expertise to take advantage of them in the field of construction, reconstruction and wished the South Korean new ambassador success in his work for the consolidation of cooperation frameworks between the two parties."
For his part, the Korean ambassador, "his country's readiness to support and assist Iraq in its war against terrorism and provide humanitarian aid, as well as work on activating the cooperation in various fields, especially economic."
