    BAGHDAD, March 23 (Reuters) - The Federal Police's rapid reaction brigade announced on Thursday the approval of the Interior Ministry for 16 armored divisions and more than 4,000 fighters.
    "The ministry also agreed to support the brigade with a large quantity of equipment and heavy equipment, as well as the recruitment of more than four thousand fighters to the federal police and rapid response, as well as drivers of the lips," Major General Thamer al-Husseini said in a press statement.
    Separately , the Interior Ministry announced on Thursday that it had seized 23 cars in violation of customs duties at the border port of Safwan.
    The statement said that "the Directorate of border crossings seized 23 cars imported from the port of Safwan on the grounds of irregularities in the demarcation."
