Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, the founder of the World Center for the fight against extremist ideology, the Saudi monarch, describing the Arab-American Islamic Summit.
This came during the inaugural speech of the Arab American Islamic Summit in Riyadh on Sunday, which was held with the participation of 55 Arab and Islamic leaders and American President Donald Trump.
He spoke about Iran and expressed his belief that it "rejected the initiatives of good neighborliness provided by our countries in good faith, and replaced by expansionist ambitions and criminal practices."
"The Iranian regime, Hezbollah, the Houthis, Al-Qaeda and Al-Qaeda are similar," he said.
"We will cooperate in the elimination of terrorism in all its forms," ​​he said, stressing that "the Islamic religion was and will remain the religion of mercy, coexistence and peace." He stressed that "some members of Islam distort the true religion and we intend to eliminate the oppressor and all terrorist organizations."
"We say that while we affirm the respect and respect of the Iranian people, we do not take a people by its regime," he said.
The Saudi monarch pointed out that "the countries participating in the summit are an important partner in the fight against extremism and terrorism," adding that the participation of US President Donald Trump at the summit confirms "Washington's interest in the region."
King Salman stressed the need to find a just solution to the Palestinian issue and to work to resolve the Syrian crisis in line with the aspirations of the Syrian people.
GCC leaders met with Trump on Sunday morning, discussing threats to security and stability in the region and ways to build trade ties between the United States and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Trump arrived in Riyadh on Saturday for his first foreign visit since taking office on Jan. 20, becoming the first US president to start his foreign visit to an Arab or Muslim country.
Trump and the Saudi monarch held a summit during which they discussed relations between the two countries, means of enhancing them and developing them in various fields, as well as discussing the latest developments in the Middle East and the world, and efforts to stabilize the region and its security.
