Abadi and UN discuss removing remnants of war and reducing the impact of dust storms
BAGHDAD, May 21 (KUNA) - The United Nations Under-Secretary-General for the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), Eric Solheim, received at his office today, the press office of Prime Minister Haider Abadi said Sunday.
"During the meeting, they discussed enhancing cooperation with the United Nations in the field of the environment, removing the remnants of war, reducing the impact of dust storms, building a green belt in a number of areas and building Iraqi capacity, in addition to rehabilitating the marshes."
He said that "Solheim, for his part, confirmed the United Nations support for the projects of marshes and the mitigation of dust storms within a regional program that includes a number of countries, including Iraq." End, h
