The leader of the popular crowd, Karim Nuri, said the crowd refused to be entangled in the row between Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
Saudi Arabia's Okaz newspaper reported in a report that Qatar had supported the popular rally of $ 500 million.
Nouri denied the information, saying it lacked evidence, adding that the popular crowd was distancing themselves from any regional problem.
The Qatari newspaper said Qatar's Foreign Minister Mohammed al-Thani had asked for the transfer of $ 500 million allocated by Doha for the release of Qatari fishermen abducted in Iraq to a "gift" for the popular crowd.
The Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Abadi had previously announced the reservation of Qatari funds entered Iraq on an informal plane delegation that came to receive fishermen, but Doha said it entered the knowledge of the Iraqi government.
For his part, spokesman for the popular crowd Ahmed al-Asadi said in a press statement, about the gift of 500 million to the crowd, "These statements are not worthy of reply and false."
Qatari-Qatari relations have been strained by comments attributed to the Emir of Qatar, which Doha said was put on the official news agency after its breakthrough.
