In response to reports that refer to the disappearances and allegations of physical abuse, international observers said that there are questions to be asked about the extent of the involvement of the United States, and whether they use the information collected by the UAE detainees to direct strikes and raids in Yemen, according to the Daily Beast.
The site "justsecurity" American, New York University, published a lengthy report on the violations involved Abu Dhabi in Yemen and its war, which the most important cases of enforced disappearance.
The Web site said in a report, it said that it's not only air strikes, but the enforced disappearance and ill-treatment of detainees in ground operations.
The site notes interviews with many experts, in addition to information obtained from the land battles, give the alarming image of the UAE Armed Forces in their ability to deal with a blow to the base, as well as the aspirations of the Abu Dhabi personal and violations carried out in detention.
A man asked the Daily Beast referred to as Abu Ali for the office, he heard the roads on the door of the family home in one day last year. And when he opened the door, she was surprised by a group of armed men in military uniform Brown, believed to be affiliated to the elite forces, looking for his son.
He said Abu Ali, who is still amazed by the extent of the intrusion of violence: "My son was not in hiding. They did not need to implement it this way!". The armed men were taken by his son, then to an unknown destination.

According to a report published by the United Nations for Yemen in January, the elite forces have been formed to confront the "Al Qaeda" in the port city of Mukalla, southeast of the country as soon as the Yemeni government returned control of the city in April / April.
These consist of troops belonging to the families of the soldiers and support the Yemeni state in exile, as well as local recruits from Hadramout, some of whom worked in the past with the people of Hadramout to establish security in the province. These forces are characterized by being the problem of those who belong to the province of Hadramout only; which means that it does not allow the Yemenis from other regions to join them. The Emiratis and security officers training the new security force, which operates the second military region in the coastal areas, have been provided with tanks, weapons and logistics, which are often secured by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Mukalla was previously under the control of al-Qaeda for almost a year. The United Arab Emirates led the process that resulted in the liberation, and still Emiratis make up a strike force within the city.
According to the UN report: "While the elite forces are considered officially under the legitimate government of the country's control, but effectively under the leadership of the United Arab Emirates operations."
It is assumed that the arrests of the elite forces are part of attempts to collect suspected of belonging to al-Qaeda. Militant groups continue to pose a major threat in Yemen, prompting some locals to show their support for the elite forces in their attempts to restore security.
The Daily Beast says that the activists and residents claim that most of the detainees have not committed a crime only natural exercise of their functions in Mukalla during the reign of "Al-Qaeda". And the work of many residents of Mukalla in favor of the organization practically at one time; it was a government march to the city things.
Abu Ali says that this is the case with his son: "I was married and need to work, so his work in March. The (base) and then controls everything."
And it achieved a committee of the United Nations experts in 6 cases of enforced disappearances at the hands of the elite forces in Mukalla between the months of April / April and November last year.
