Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: Iraqi economic expert Bassim Jameel Antoin pointed that the number of Iraq governmental employees reached to 4.5 million, stressing that 75% of them are not actually needed.

He blamed the Iraqi political parties for the extra appointments for election reason and other goals.

On 7 December, 2016, the Iraqi Parliament voted for granting 4-year leave to minimize the expenditures of the employees budget.
