Launch of a project to develop nine exploratory plains in the border and marine fields with Iran and the Gulf
The Ministry of Oil announced on Monday the launch of a project to develop nine exploratory plains in the border and maritime fields with Kuwait, Iran and territorial waters with the Arabian Gulf.
The Ministry of Oil said that "in accordance with the plans of the Ministry of Oil based on its policy and approach to the exploitation of hydrocarbon wealth and investment in favor of Iraq and its people, the ministry announces the launch of a project to explore and develop and produce a number of exploratory and oil fields border land and sea in southern and central Iraq.
She added that 'exploratory spots on the Iraqi-Kuwaiti border is a patch of water vegetables and a patch of Mount Sanam and Umm Qasr', built that 'exploratory spots located on the Iraqi-Iranian border are Sinbad, Hawizah, Shihabi, Zurbatiya and Neftan box.'
She pointed out that 'the patch of the Arabian Gulf lies within the territorial waters of Iraq in the Arabian Gulf', explaining that ' The scope of work of exploration and development contracts for the production of these exploratory wells and oil fields on all exploration operations include surveys and the excavation of wells exploration and evaluation and the program of survey and clearance of mines and non-flared and production of crude oil and the optimal utilization of free gas or associated gas.
The Ministry of Oil also pointed out that 'foreign companies are committed to provide funding, expertise, technology, equipment, machinery, services and qualified workers to implement their contracts provided the use of Iraqi qualified workers', indicating that' the Ministry will award contracts for these exploratory wells and oil fields to qualified foreign oil companies in advance, whether alone or Coalition of companies through competition '.
