Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said his country is keen to build "positive relations" with neighboring countries, including Saudi Arabia, and that he sees no clear horizon for changing relations with Riyadh.
"If there is a change in Saudi thought towards us, Iran will respond positively," Zarif was quoted as saying in Tehran.
"We hope that Riyadh will reach the conclusion that there is no way to solve the problems of the countries of the Gulf region only dialogue, so we must cooperate."
The differences between the Iranian and Saudi sides shrank significantly during the period of preparation for the Hajj season.
