Al-Amiri and Al-Khaza'i compete with Al-Maliki for the presidency of the National Alliance

     Baghdad / Mohammed Sabah

The coalition of state law, next week, a crucial meeting, the first of its kind in three months, to determine the candidate to take over the presidency of the National Alliance succeeding Ammar al-Hakim, who ended his presidency of the periodic days ago.
The coalition of state law is a fierce competition between Nuri al-Maliki and Hadi al-Amiri and Khudair Khuzaie to head the
    National Alliance .

This coincided with the visit of the President of the Council of the Iranian regime, Mahmoud Hashemi, who did not exclude parties within the rule of law to mediate to arrange the papers of the Shiite alliance in the face of the attempt to destroy him.
During the Eid al-Adha sermon, Ammar al-Hakim renewed his call for leadership of the National Alliance to speed up the election of a new president, warning of the vacuum that will be faced by the largest Shiite alliance.
According to the agreement signed by the National Coalition, headed by Ammar al-Hakim, and the rule of law last year, ended on September 5, the mandate of the wise periodic, which necessitates a coalition of state law to nominate its candidate.
But things seem complicated within the coalition of state law because of the great competition between Nuri al-Maliki, the head of the Badr Organization Hadi al-Ameri, and the leader of the Dawa Party / Organization of Iraq Khudair Khuzaie, to head the National Alliance.
MP Siham al-Moussawi, a member of Badr parliamentary bloc, said that "next week will see a meeting at the level of leaders of a coalition of state law to resolve the candidate of the bloc to head the National Alliance," asserting that "the choice will be subject to the compatibility between the components of the rule of law."
In April, Al-Madaa revealed the Dawa Party's fear of choosing an alternative to al-Hakim in light of the differences. According to sources, the differences resulted in 3 currents that fight the leadership within the rule of law, including the entry of Prime Minister Haider Abadi and Ali Adeeb on the line of competition for the presidency of the coalition and the Secretary General of the Dawa Party Nuri al-Maliki.
In an interview with Al-Mada yesterday, the representative of Hadi al-Amiri, Khudair al-Khuzaie and Nuri al-Maliki were nominated as candidates to fill the position of the president of the National Alliance. But she stressed that "things are still not resolved and need talks and understandings."
A member of Badr parliamentary bloc, The rules of procedure of the National Alliance states in one of its paragraphs that the bloc that occupies the post of prime minister is not entitled to occupy the presidency of the National Alliance, "asserting that" the Badr bloc supports any candidate is agreed among the components of the National Alliance. "
The coalition of state law failed to hold one meeting over the past three months, as Moussawi says that "the meetings next week will be crucial in relation to the file of the presidency of the coalition."
Since the 2014 elections, a coalition of state law has tried to nominate Ali al-Adeeb to head the National Alliance, and this attempt was met by the rejection of the Sadrist movement and the Supreme Council, which saw their relations at that time, a great convergence after the overthrow of al-Maliki.
In turn, confirms the coalition of state law that the process of selecting a new candidate for the presidency of the coalition will be democratic, "through the opening of the nomination at a meeting next week to resolve the candidate of the rule of law to head the coalition."
"The Maliki personal closest to the presidency of the National Alliance for the next period after the agreement with the Supreme Council a year ago that the presidency is periodic." The social networking sites were recently reported on the mediation of the Chairman of the Council of Expediency of the Iranian regime, Ayatollah Mahmoud al-Hashemi to arrange the papers of the Shiite forces in preparation for the post-elimination of the Dahesh.
The Chihod believes that "the visit of Mahmoud al-Hashemi to Iraq may fall within the process of maintaining the National Alliance, which is being subjected to attempts to destroy him by some quarters."
Al-Hashemi arrived in Baghdad early September and held several meetings, starting with Nuri al-Maliki and then the prime minister. He also held an extensive meeting with the leaders of the National Alliance in the presence of Abadi, Hakim and leaders in the popular crowd.
In response to speculation raised by the visit to Iraq, Hashemi's office issued a statement yesterday denied the existence of a formal character of the last visit, and that it came for the purpose of visiting religious shrines.
In the same context, says Fadi al-Shammari, leader of the National Wisdom Movement in a statement to (the extent), "Hakim told the leadership of the National Alliance shortly before his refusal to manage the presidency of the National Alliance acting or renewal of another year," stressing that "Hakim Egypt To respect and achieve the agreement concluded with the coalition of the rule of law. "
Al-Hakim was elected in early September as head of the National Alliance for a one-year term, replacing Ibrahim al-Jaafari, who took office since 2010. The choice came after an agreement with the Dawa Party.
Al-Shammari acknowledges the difficulty of the task facing the Shiite forces to appoint an alternative figure for al-Hakim to head the National Alliance, stressing that the choice of alternative president of the coalition will be consensual and needs understandings to be approved in the general and leadership bodies of the coalition.
