    Baghdad Today - Baghdad 
    An Iraqi movement revealed, today, Tuesday (November 19, 2024), what it called the Al-Hol explosion to create chaos in the Middle East, while indicating that the Zionist entity will target Iraq.
    The head of the peaceful Diyala movement, Ammar al-Tamimi, said in an interview with Baghdad Today, "The danger of a comprehensive war in the Middle East still exists in light of the presence of a Zionist government that believes in expansionist dreams that were established more than 120 years ago, and what is happening now in terms of genocide crimes in Palestine and Lebanon is the beginning of other expansionist movements."
    He added, "The Syrian Al-Hawl camp, with its human stockpile, is the heir to the ideas of Al-Zarqawi and Al-Baghdadi and was designed to stir up chaos in the Middle East and Iraq, the most prominent threatened country. Washington will resort to pushing it into the scene at any time in order to create a space that allows the Zionist entity to proceed with its expansionist projects and move to the third scenario of chaos in the Middle East after Gaza and southern Lebanon."
    Al-Tamimi pointed out that, "Anyone who says that Iraq will not be targeted by the Zionist entity is delusional because we are facing a large plan and Trump's arrival to the White House will push this plan forward because of his ideas that support Zionism and his absolute loyalty to it, stressing that the Zionist lobby has been leading America for many years."
    The overcrowded al-Hol camp, run by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), whose mainstay is the US-backed Kurdish forces, houses, according to camp administration figures in January 2024, more than 43,000 Syrians, Iraqis and foreigners from at least 45 countries, all of whom are family members of ISIS members .
    Women and children make up the bulk of the camp’s residents, who are forbidden from leaving. But it also houses about 3,000 men in the larger section, which is designated for Iraqis and Syrians, including displaced people and refugees, some of whom are suspected of working for the extremist organization .
    The return of relatives of extremists from Syria continues to stir controversy among the population in Iraq, which fought a three-year war that ended in late 2017 with the expulsion of ISIS after it had controlled about a third of the country's area for about three years .
    The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated yesterday, Wednesday, that this batch is “the fourth during the current year, within the framework of the operations to deport ISIS families who hold Iraqi citizenship” from Al-Hawl camp to Iraq .
    In an effort to reduce the hostility these families may face upon their return, they are first housed in the Al-Jadaa camp, where they undergo security screening and a “stage of psychological rehabilitation” before being allowed to return to their home areas, according to Iraqi officials .
    Iraq is one of the few countries that regularly repatriates its citizens from Al-Hol camp, a move welcomed by the United Nations and the United States .
