Maliki's reluctance to chair the National Alliance paves the way for Amiri

     Baghdad / Mohammed Sabah

The coalition of state law is approaching to resolve its position on the presidency of the National Alliance nominee Hadi al-Ameri, leader of the Badr Organization, after the decline of the coalition leader Nuri al-Maliki to run for the post occupied by Ammar al-Hakim more than a year ago. And confirms informed circles within the bloc of Maliki's coalition that Amiri became the most likely successor to al-Hakim after the withdrawal of the coalition leader Nuri al-Maliki, and the failure of Ali al-Adib and Khudair Khuzaie to obtain the support of their mass.

The circles attribute the withdrawal of Maliki from running for the presidency of the National Alliance to the reservations expressed on his performance during the last period.
And the failure of a coalition of state law to hold a meeting of the leadership body for three months, against the backdrop of fierce competition between the polarization of the presidency of the National Alliance.
During the Eid al-Adha sermon, Ammar al-Hakim renewed his call for leadership of the National Alliance to speed up the election of a new president, warning of the vacuum that will be faced by the largest Shiite alliance.
And ended the presidency of Ammar al-Hakim of the National Alliance on the fifth of September, according to the agreement reached by the Shiite parties last year. Under the agreement, the presidency will be rotated for a period of one year, to be administered by a candidate from the state of law later.
Revealed sources prominent within the rule of law that "Maliki told the forces of a coalition of state law to withdraw his candidacy from the presidency of the National Alliance, preferring to devote full time to prepare the bloc and the new list, which intends to form during the coming periods."
The sources, who spoke to the (range) preferred anonymity, that "the reasons for Maliki's withdrawal from the competition is due to his reservations on the performance of the National Alliance, which he described as weak and scattered," noting that "the rule of law will submit a new candidate for the position of the presidency of the National Alliance after A meeting to be held on Monday evening. "
The sources revealed the document that "the past few days have seen a series of consultations and secret discussions within the coalition of the rule of law addressed the possibility of nominating Ali al-Adib and Khudair Khuzaie as replacements for al-Maliki, but the talks ended by excluding them from the competition because of fears of the Dawa Party of the fall of candidates to vote in the General Assembly Of the National Alliance. "
The sources close to the leaders of the rule of law that "the head of the Badr Organization Hadi al-Amiri became the most likely to head the National Alliance among the names traded in the corridors of the coalition of the rule of law," noting "the great desire of Amiri to occupy the site of the President of the National Alliance."
The parliamentary sources added that "the decision to nominate Amiri to head the National Alliance depends on the review and audit of some sites distributed among the components of a coalition of state law," asserting that "a meeting of the Dawa Party on Monday evening will be crucial to this dialectic."
Regarding the vision of the state of law for the project of "historic settlement," the sources said that "the coalition is determined to proceed with the settlement project, which will be subject to many changes in the foundations and content and texts."
The National Alliance, led by Ammar al-Hakim, proposed the "settlement" a few months ago, which aims to alleviate the internal crises and problems, in preparation for the post-elimination of the organization of the preacher.
Al-Mada newspaper published the text of the historic settlement in its number 3771 dated 31 October last, and it was widely circulated locally and in Arabic.
The sources pointed out that "the state of law observations and many conditions on the draft settlement, and must be achieved before proceeding, including the inclusion of the settlement of persons wanted for the judiciary."
"There is talk in the political corridors of the National Alliance between those who want to resume the settlement project by his new presidency and those who want to carry out the whole project after the next elections," he said.
Fadi al-Shammari, a leader of the al-Hakamah movement, described the settlement project as "holding the mosque to set a road map for building a state by addressing controversial issues." But he admits there are political parties that "reserve time and not compromise as a project."
The adviser, close to Ammar al-Hakim, "there are parties in the coalition of state law have observations on the timing of the settlement project," stressing that "the project took important steps in cooperation with the United Nations, and completed the first and second stages."
And on the presidency of the National Alliance, confirms Fadi al-Shammari that "the parties to the coalition is still negotiating in order to agree on a consensus character is acceptable to everyone." But he pointed out that "the leadership of the National Alliance did not hold a meeting to discuss the names of candidates, because it is waiting for the progress of the rule of law candidate for this site."
