    Babil Governorate Council decided to form a committee of 5 members to follow up the stalled and stalled projects since 2003 until 2017. The Council revealed that the number of projects in the province exceeded 1,400 projects, pointing out that a number of them were referred to integrity due to corruption suspicions.

" 
    "The decision of the Council came to the large number of projects suspended and slow and withdrawn work, which greatly affected the provision of services necessary for the people of the province."
    "The province of Babylon from the poor provinces and still suffer because of the financial crisis experienced by Iraq and the citizen is not satisfied with the provision of services." 
    She added that "the duties of the Council to monitor the work of state institutions in the province and give opinion and advice and that the Committee is working now will make recommendations to the Council for approval." In turn, the deputy governor of Babylon and Sam Aslan that "the provincial council formed a committee to follow up the projects of the province suspended and slow and withdrawn work of which the number of 1470 projects out of the projects announced by the local government in Babylon, the number of more than 2,700 projects."

    The Governor of Babel, Sadeq al-Sultani, considered the decision of the provincial council to form a committee to follow up the stalled and stagnant projects. He pointed out that the public prosecution opened over 200 files over the previous years, mostly related to corruption projects 
    . "The adoption of the provincial council to form a committee to follow up the projects since 2003 and until now a very good decision despite the suspension of projects since 2014 and until now because of financial allocations and the war on Dahesh," Sultani said in a statement received. 
    Al-Sultani pointed out that "the provincial council is the highest supervisory and legislative authority in the province and it is his duty to monitor all what is happening on the scene in the province." 
    The Sultan stressed the accountability of "corruption involved in the suspension of projects in the province," pointing out that "
    "The governor of Babylon," the public prosecutor opened more than 200 files over the previous years until 2017 and these files are now presented in the Integrity Commission and the competent courts of integrity and investigation continues in these projects. " 
    He added that "the work of the committee formed by the Council will facilitate and support the work of prosecutors and integrity and the courts to identify areas of corruption in projects."
