    [rtl]Turkish Prime Minister Ben Ali Yildirim said his country was confident that Pakistan would eliminate the activities of the terrorist organization Fathullah Gulen on its territory.[/rtl]
    [rtl]This came in a press conference with his Pakistani counterpart Shahid Khakan Abbasi, after a meeting in Istanbul.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Yildirim added that the bonds of solidarity and mutual support between Pakistan and Turkey are continuing at the highest levels. The most prominent example of the concept of solidarity is the stand of Islamabad and Ankara during the failed coup attempt in the summer of 2016.[/rtl]
    [rtl]He thanked his Pakistani counterpart for his country's efforts during the last session of the Organization of Eight Developing Islamic Countries.[/rtl]
    [rtl]He stressed that Pakistan will remain friendly and brotherly country and reliable partner for Turkey.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Yildirim said that he discussed with Abbasi bilateral relations in various fields such as trade, economy and energy cooperation, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.[/rtl]
    [rtl]He stressed that Turkey will continue its active support to establish lasting stability in Afghanistan.[/rtl]
    [rtl]He hoped that cooperation between Islamabad and Kabul would be strengthened in this regard.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Yildirim praised Pakistan's sacrifices in combating terrorism and supporting the stability of Afghanistan.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Pakistani Prime Minister Shahid Khakan Abbasi expressed his confidence that the peoples of the two countries are friendly.[/rtl]
    [rtl]"Turkey's friend is a friend of Pakistan, and they have promised her an enemy at the same time," he said.[/rtl]
    [rtl]He said his country was following Turkey's rise to higher welfare salaries.[/rtl]
    [rtl]"We applaud Turkey's support for Pakistan, especially its position on the UN resolution on the disputed Kashmir region, and we congratulate it on the current session of the Organization of the Islamic Conference and support its position on Myanmar and Palestine," he said.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Abbasi stressed that his country is doing its utmost in the fight against terrorism, expressing his country's support for Ankara in this regard.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Turkey supported the economic and social development of Pakistan.[/rtl]
    [rtl]He called on Turkish businessmen to invest in Pakistan.[/rtl]
    [rtl]In conclusion, Abbasi invited Lelandim to visit his country.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Earlier in the day, Abbasi opened the summit of the Group of Eight developing Islamic countries in Istanbul as president of the eighth session and handed over its presidency to Turkey, which will chair the ninth session, which lasted two years.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Turkey hosted the founding meeting of the organization in 1997, and considered the Member States the highest word among the Islamic countries, especially as Turkey and Indonesia are also members of the G-20.[/rtl]
    [rtl]The organization, which includes Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Egypt and Nigeria, was founded on June 15, 1997.[/rtl]
    [rtl]The main objective of its establishment is to promote economic and social cooperation among Member States.[/rtl]
