Iraq's policy to cooperate with Turkey intelligence "to eliminate terrorist cells and extremist thought"[/size]

The Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halboussi met on Sunday with Turkish Foreign Minister Mouloud Gaooshoglu, accompanied by a Turkish parliamentary delegation, in the presence of Iraqi Ambassador to Ankara Hussein Khatib and a number of members of the Iraqi Council of Representatives.
During the meeting, they discussed means of enhancing bilateral cooperation in various fields, notably the economic and humanitarian field, by contributing to the efforts to return the displaced and stabilize the liberated areas, and the security file through the exchange of intelligence; to eliminate terrorist cells and extremist ideology, Parliamentary Friendship Committees.
The meeting also tackled the formation of joint committees to solve the water problem and exchange experiences in this field, as well as discuss procedures to facilitate the obtaining of entry visas between the two countries.
He stressed Iraq's keenness to build balanced relations with all on the basis of respect for mutual sovereignty, and be a meeting point and a factor of balance and stability in the region, stressing the position of Iraq, which rejects any opposition on its territory threatens the peace of a neighboring country.
He also paid tribute to the President of the Turkish Parliament Mustafa Shintop to the Baghdad Summit of parliaments of neighboring countries of Iraq, describing his presence with the good message of the Iraqi street, pointing to the need to work with a unified vision of the countries of the region, which will have positive results on the reality.
For his part, Oglu stressed his country's commitment to support Iraq and to enhance the prospects for cooperation at all levels.
