Russian Deputy Energy Minister Kirill Moldetov arrived in Baghdad today, accompanied by representatives of oil and gas giants, to hold important meetings with the Oil Ministry leadership on Russian companies operating in Iraq, Russian media reported on Sunday.
"An official delegation headed by Russian Deputy Energy Minister Kiril Moldetov arrives in Baghdad today and is accompanied by representatives of oil and gas giant companies to hold important meetings with the leadership of the Ministry of Oil," Sputnik quoted the Iraqi ambassador in Moscow, Haidar Mansour Hadi, as saying. In order to overcome all obstacles faced by companies operating in Iraq, such as (Lukoil) and (Gazprom Naft) and Bash Naftal and (Rosneft).
Hadi added that "this visit is the third Deputy Russian Minister of Energy to Baghdad since the beginning of this year, to confirm the seriousness of the Iraqi and Russian sides in finding solutions to all obstacles and problems faced by Russian companies."
He explained that "the mutual visits come in implementation of the directives of the Prime Minister, Haider Abadi, in a meeting with the Russian Minister of Energy, Alexander Novak, in Baghdad, last December, which directed the formation of a joint committee between the Iraqi oil and Russian energy at the level of agents when the latter Support the Prime Minister in finding a solution to the problems faced by Russian companies operating in Iraq. "
Hadi stressed that "the Iraqi Embassy in Moscow is working to follow the results of these visits and provide the necessary support to ensure its success."
