China to increase US imports and cut commodity tariffs: report

(Encyclopedia of this Day News | Iraq News ) - Live: A recent report said that China has offered to buy more American goods and the reduction of customs duties on some goods , including cars, in the framework of negotiations to resolve the trade dispute with the United States.
China has also asked Washington to treat China's investment in a fair manner as well as stop issuing any new investment restrictions, the Reuters news agency quoted sources as saying on Friday.
Officials from the US and Chinese sides are concluding two days of negotiations in Beijing after their conflicts have raised fears of a trade war.
China also called on the United States to end the intellectual property investigation under Article 301 and not to implement the proposed 25 percent tariff.
China also suggested that the United States listen to ZTE's lawsuit against the company's sanctions in April and amend the ban on the sale of US components and software to the company.
The report pointed out that China informed the US side that it will actively consider the information provided by US companies on Beijing's investigation into anti-dumping of imported yellow maize.
The US trade delegation, led by the Treasury Secretary, called on the Chinese authorities to reduce tariffs and trade deficit with Beijing, as well as to abolish government support for strategic industries.
