    The General Company for grain trade in the Ministry of Commerce, invited Australian companies to participate in wheat supply tenders conducted by the Ministry for the ration card account in addition to contribute to investment projects for the construction of silos.
    In an interview with the Australian International Trade Group and the accompanying delegation, the company's general manager, Naeem Al-Makusi, said in a statement read by "Al-Iktissad News" that "the meeting exchanged views on the duties of the company and its role in providing and storing imported and local grains marketed by farmers, Which it owns in all the provinces of the country. "
    Al-Mukassousi explained to the Australian side "the need to cooperate with Australian companies and invite them to enter the Iraqi market through the supply of Australian wheat to suit the Iraqi taste, which the ministry seeks to provide within the ration card items."
    "The company's need to build siloat in the provinces of Wasit, Najaf, Diwaniyah and Nasiriyah, as well as the provinces of Salah al-Din and Nineveh and Anbar, which is a heavy areas of wheat production, which destroyed its infrastructure because of terrorist operations."
    The director general of the company, that Iraq's annual need of wheat up to four and a half million tons, half of the amount of local production is guaranteed and the rest is compensated through the announcement of import tenders.
    For his part, the Director General of the International Group for Trade, the possibility of cooperation to enter the investment projects for the construction of wheat and processing of wheat according to the mechanisms and controls contracted by the ministry to this aspect to study investment projects and the supply of wheat.
