Abadi: Prime Minister seeks a political map away from previous alliances
"Abadi is seeking a new political plan away from previous alliances," spokesman Saad al-Hadithi said on Thursday.
Al-Hadithi said in a press statement that "one of the reasons for the call of Abadi and put forward his idea to hold a consultative meeting of all blocks and all spectrums is to send a negative message to the Iraqi citizen and voter that there is a trend and intentions to reproduce the previous political map, which had negative results led to the reluctance of a large number of Citizens to participate in elections. "
Al-Hadithi added that "the Prime Minister is keen today that the coming period to build alliances on national bases away from the previous alliances that lead to change the political situation and reach the goals advocated by the reform of the state system and the founding construction of the state, which should not be based on the basis of class."
"The blocs can not have a national dimension and a national vision to achieve the progress we hope for in the next phase," he said. "We hope there will be a serious and positive response by the political forces in this direction."
He expressed the hope that the meeting will be the basis for the next stage and the benefits that must be dealt with by everyone.
The Prime Minister Haider Abadi, called on the political blocs to hold a meeting after the end of the holiday of Eid al-Fitr, and it is hoped that the meeting will be held next week.
