The Director-General of the City of Medicine, Dr. Hassan Abbas Al-Tamimi said in an exclusive statement to Al-Sabah that his department, among its great interests in the subject of micro-specialties, which is one of the latest findings of modern medical sciences in the world, has recently opened a specialized laboratory for the Center of Hematology The first of its kind nationwide. He added that the laboratory is conducting specialized molecular genetic tests as well as accurate tests for cancer patients, pointing out that these tests were conducted outside Iraq through the medical committees belonging to the ministry and cost large amounts, but it is currently conducted for symbolic prices and diagnosis more accurate and fast as the results show Hours after taking a blood sample. In the same context, Tamimi explained that the laboratory will contribute to the conduct of bone marrow transplantation by taking blood samples from patients in the city instead of sending them to the outside laboratories before the operation, pointing out that the laboratory also includes advanced devices such as (Fluositometr) and genetic analyzers And other specialized laboratory laboratories. He added that the department has special activities in the field of blood tests, pointing out that blood bank in Baghdad hospital recorded more than 21 thousand blood tests, along with 43 thousand blood tests in the four months of this year. He added that the bank has a branch on the fourth floor of the women's halls and maternity halls in order to equip the halls with blood and to make the matching of births, especially emergency cases. .
