The Ministry of Communications stressed the importance of the international access gates project, which is responsible for passing the outgoing and incoming telephone traffic to the country. It is clear that it will contribute to improving the Internet service by increasing the capacity to the operating companies.
A specialized source in the General Company for Services of the International Network and Informatics in the Ministry said in a special statement to "Al Sabah" that his company is keen to provide the best services to citizens in the framework of improving the Internet service, which will be gradual, noting that the international access gates project will be responsible for passing international telephone traffic From the mobile phones of the three companies operating in Iraq as well as land phones through the link through the national optical network with gates.
He added that the project will connect the service providers to the international gates and will know the locations and incoming and outgoing people in the country, as well as to achieve the security aspect of the service available to citizens, stressing the provision of the service once it was cut or any technical defect, noting that the country owns about 11 distributed Between Baghdad and the provinces, three of them in Baghdad and two in Basra and one for each of: Diwaniyah, Karbala, Kirkuk, Nineveh and others distributed between the northern regions.
The source pointed out that it will connect with mobile phone companies in optical communication units in addition to the microsecurity associated with automatic networking devices in order to ensure the continuity of work when the failure of the optical cable in case of emergency.  [/rtl]
