    Baghdad / .. The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the US consul in Kurdistan, agreed on Sunday, the participation of the Kurds strongly in the new Iraqi government.
    "The Secretary-General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan congratulated the US consul on the occasion of the start of his duties in the region," said a statement by the Office of the Messenger received by "the eye of Iraq News," wishing that "it has a role in strengthening relations between the Kurdistan region and the United States of America."
     The statement added that "during the meeting discussed the steps to form the next federal government, while the two sides agreed that the Kurds will participate strongly in the next government and be part of the political process."
    He stressed that "the elections of the Kurdistan Parliament will be free and democratic, and away from violence," noting that "the two sides discussed the political situation in Iraq, and rapid changes and political conflicts in the region."
