Education: The introduction of 7 colleges and 39 scientific departmentsThe Ministry of Higher Education announced on Thursday its readiness to launch the central admission, while revealing the development of 7 colleges and 39 scientific departments.
"The ministry is preparing to launch the central admission form at the universities," ministry spokesman Haider al-Aboudi said in a statement, noting that "the electronic application form is under final examination before the launch."
Al-Abboudi added that "the ministry has developed seven colleges as well as thirty-nine scientific sections to accommodate the number of students for the academic year 2018/2019." He added that "the reading of the numbers expected to be accepted this year and the diagnosis of scientific need called for the development of the Faculty of Tourism Sciences at Mosul University, Sumer College of Arts at the University of Samarra and the Faculty of Applied Sciences at the University of Fallujah and the faculties of pharmacy at the Universities of Kirkuk and Jaber bin Hayyan medical and the Faculty of Energy Sciences and Environment at the University of Karkh for Science.
"Thirty-nine scientific departments have been created at different universities to enhance the competence of water resources engineering, UAV systems, financial and banking disciplines, ancient monuments, desertification techniques, artificial limbs, management information systems and other disciplines that have been distributed to thirty-three colleges."
