Industry: Government decision to support and activate partnership with the private sector[/rtl]

(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) The Minister of Industry and Minerals Agency, Mohamed Shi'a al-Sudani, announced the issuance of the Council of Ministers Resolution No. (336) for the year 2018 to approve the recommendations of the preliminary meeting of the Iraqi Economic Development Conference.
"The Council of Ministers and upon a proposal by the Minister of Industry in the need to include in the recommendations a recommendation for the abolition of resolution 492 for the year 2013 for the purpose of allowing the boards of management of public companies to practice," said the director of media of the ministry, Abdul Wahid al-Shammari. Its tasks and powers under the Public Companies Law decided in its regular session held on 28 August last approved the recommendations of the first preparatory meeting of the Iraqi Economic Development Conference held in Baghdad on 28/7/2018.
He pointed out that "the said decision and within the axis of partnership with the private sector included the approval to cancel the decision of the Council of Ministers No. (492) for the year 2013 that precedes the procedures for the conclusion of contracts of participation to provide a feasibility study economic and technical integrated prepared by the owners of expertise and competence and submitted to the Board of Directors for approval "He said.
Al-Shammari stressed "the importance and the effect of canceling the resolution (492) for the year 2013 to activate the partnership contracts with the private sector and attract Iraqi investors, Arabs and foreigners, because this decision was a major obstacle because of the conditions and limitations contained therein."
He pointed out that "the ministry has had meetings and deliberations and many conversations with the departments and ministries and the concerned parties to diagnose and overcome obstacles that block the private sector and investors."
He pointed out that "the ministry's orientation towards participation and investment with the private sector is serious and capable and its efforts to attract and attract companies, businessmen and investors to assist them in rehabilitating and operating laboratories, developing companies, transferring technology, sharing experiences, adding new production lines, diversifying local production and implementing vital projects to build a competitive national industry. And the economy in Iraq. "
