Abadi: the resignation of the government betrayal and excuse the lack of funds allocated to Basra is not true

Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi saw the resignation of the government he heads "treachery", while regretting the lack of funds earmarked for Basra "is not true."
"During the past few days, we have launched large operations to hunt down terrorist groups infiltrating across the Syrian border and have been successful," Abadi said at a weekly press conference.
"Our security forces are still pursuing terrorist groups and we have good intelligence and terrorists will not be able to plan terrorist acts inside Iraq because they have no land in Iraq to control them," he said.
"For a long time, citizens have not lived so safely in Baghdad and other provinces, and the inability of terrorism to carry out terrorist acts is not coincidental, because we are always thwarting its terrorist acts," he said.
"We must always be wary of terrorism because it is a disease that still exists and an unjust and unjust thinking that calls for the killing of civilians and all countries to cooperate to eradicate it," Ebadi said.
He reiterated his "emphasis on speeding up the constitutional steps and timing for the election of the President of the Republic and then assigning the Prime Minister the candidate to form the new government."
He also stressed that "the current government is continuing to carry out its responsibilities in the most complete way to maintain security and stability, care of citizens and provide services and provide jobs, and we will bear this responsibility to the last day of the life of the government."
"We respect the peaceful transfer of power and take over the secretariat to the next government. We do not hold on to power at all, but we are working to fulfill our responsibilities towards citizens to provide services," Abadi said.
"There are those who want this government to resign, knowing that there is no constitutional context for the resignation of the government, but its resignation is a betrayal because it will give up its responsibility to protect the citizens and the country," pointing out that "calls for the resignation of the government are political calls and there are those who wanted to get us to the point of no return, We allow them. "
"We have taken control of the situation in Basra and we have preserved the lives of citizens despite the fierce attack on Basra. We work day and night and continue with the committee charged with providing services to our citizens in Basra and the local government is responsible for providing services after the transfer of full powers to the provinces," he said.
The Prime Minister "We have launched this year significant financial allocations to the provinces, especially the province of Basra."
He pointed out that "Iraq has a great opportunity to benefit from regional and international support after we put our country in the forefront, and is seen today as a strong country that advanced and emerged from a predicament after its existence was about to disappear and everyone is looking forward to it today because it has real opportunities and this did not come easily But came with sacrifices and proper planning and must be preserved all this. "
"The classification of our armed and security forces has become one of the best forces in the region," he said, calling for "cooperation between the legislative and executive branches."
"Iraq will remain ahead regardless of who is leading it and we want to move away from the party in the administration of the country," he said.
