call by a former adviser to the Kuwaiti defense minister to "bring the Turkish army into Kuwait at full speed" has sparked a wave of controversy in Twitter, and many Kuwaitis have expressed their rejection of the invitation.

Counselor and former Kuwaiti MP Nasser al-Duweila, a former officer in the Armored Corps, also saw the Turkish military as "the most secure and strategic equivalent".

While a large number of Kuwaiti commentators rejected this call in full, a stormy debate erupted over who was responsible for the deteriorating situation in the Gulf region .

It is noteworthy that Kuwait and Turkey recently signed a joint defense cooperation agreement, in which the Chief of Staff of the Kuwaiti army: "the plan of action of defense cooperation 2019, which was signed with the Turkish army, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two sides."
