Republicans are heading to retain their majority in the US Senate by mid-term elections to the US Congress, while Democrats are moving to grab a majority of them in the House of Representatives, according to NBC .

According to forecasts, Republicans will receive 52 of the 100 seats in the Senate.

ABC provided similar forecasts for NBC television.

The vote was held Tuesday in the United States, to elect 35 of the senators out of a hundred, and only eight of them Republicans.

At the same time, Republicans have 51 seats in the Senate and will retain a working majority even with one seat lost (with a 50-50 record, Vice President Mike Pence will be able to vote ex officio as Senate president).

Democrats need at least 51 votes to wrest control of the Senate.

Leading television channels and the Associated Press predict winning candidates in a number of well-known states even before the end of counting, based on their methods of partial statistical processing.

These expectations are not formal, but they have a great place, and in most cases they come in line with the final result of counting votes.
