    The Digital Media Center announced that the number of users of social networking sites in Iraq reached 19 million, or 48% of the population.
    "The annual digital report issued by We Are Social and Hootsuite revealed in the latest statistics the figure for the number of users of the sites in Iraq, and also that the number of those using these sites through the handsets amounted to 18 million One million more than last year. " 
    The Center pointed out that "the digital report confirmed that the number of Internet users in Iraq is 19.68 million people, up 680 thousand people from last year." 
    The above-mentioned annual report has confirmed the existence of 3.484 billion users of social networking sites in the world and 3.256 billion users of these sites by telephone.

    The Ministry of Communications denied on Friday some media reports about the accusation of one of its contracting companies and its involvement in the smuggling of Internet capacity in Kirkuk or through the port of Al-Mundhiriya company (symphony Ertlenk) or others.
    The ministry said in a statement that it is "keen on the strategy of joint work and abide by the terms of contract with those companies in which some try to raise problems and rhythm between the ministry and Internet companies."
    The ministry said that it would announce to the media and public opinion the names of entities and companies involved in the smuggling of capacity when completing the investigative procedures and proving those involved, "adding that" it will take all legal and administrative procedures. "
    The statement called on "all media to be accurate in the transfer of news and information from their main sources."
