The Commission said in a statement received by Alsumaria News, a copy of that, "the technical teams of the Office of the Commission in the northern region and in cooperation with the Integrity Commission Directorate of Nineveh and the National Security Service and the Directorate of Communications in support of a rapid intervention force has controlled the largest smuggling of Internet capacity and the confiscation of Internet towers of companies violating "He said.




He added that "the smuggling of Internet capacity to the province of Nineveh across the dam area of ​​Mosul and the area of ​​Baasheqa and using micro-links not licensed by the Commission."

"The process of smuggling Internet capacity negatively affects the economic situation of the country if it loses hundreds of thousands of dollars, as well as the security threat to smuggled weapons because they are not under the supervision of the Iraqi government," the statement quoted the director of the agency's office as saying.

On March 2, 2019, the Ministry of Communications announced that it had thwarted the smuggling of Internet stalls in Nineveh province in a "qualitative" operation.
