    The General Company for the ports of Iraq, on Wednesday, a clarification on the lifting cranes port in the port, "Abu Floss" in Basra, noting that these cranes are out of service currently for the end of the operational life. 

    The company said in a statement received by Alsumaria News a copy of it, "recently published on social networking pages the subject of port cranes at the port of Abu Flus and the charges were launched without knowledge or knowledge of the subject matter.




    She added that "in order to manage the General Company of the ports of Iraq and the Ministry of Transport to inform everyone about what the Ministry is doing and with transparency, we would like to make clear that these cranes were made in 1979 and are written off, the first was written off in 2013 to fall part of one of the workers in The port and lost his life in this incident, while the other two lifts were written off in 2015 because they are out of service for the end of their operational life and thus are two concerns of a large area and impedes the movement of the port.

    Following the contract with one of the joint operating companies on 26/2/2018, the previous period of the Ministry of the Department of the pier. Paragraph 11 of the contract referred to (the lifting of old port cranes and delivery to the management of the port) The company started its work, Who do not understand in the port work to distort and disrupt this action, which would open the façades of the berths overlooking the port to be more free to handle and unload cargo after the cranes were on them. 

    The General Company for Iraqi Ports, pointed out that "this subject was not the only one to hang, but many of the projects that were the obligations of companies, which the management was keen to implement," considering that "not lifting these cranes or the implementation of projects contracted is negligence and not vice versa."

    The pages of the social networking site "Facebook" published leaflets talked about cutting 6 cranes, "the English type of balance and work well" in the port, "Abu Floss."
