    [size=18]MP Hamid al-Moussawi said on Saturday that the powers granted to the presidency of the parliament are appropriate and necessary, and that defining these powers will create chaos, stressing the importance of holding the presidency more responsible in organizing the work of parliamentary committees and monitoring its work and meetings.


    Al-Moussawi said in an interview with Alsumaria News that "the members of Parliament are the ones who took a decision within the rules of procedure to authorize the presidency of the parliament to organize the distribution of members on the committees," noting that "the options left to members of parliament to choose the committees they see fit for them, but in reality, The number of members exceeded 30 members and the other has no more than two members only. "





    Al-Moussawi added that "the organization of the committees is the responsibility of the Presidency, as the committees (a) everyone wants, while the Committees (B) we find a reluctance even though they are important committees and address important segments of community life and public sectors," pointing out that " The position of the Presidency in the organization and distribution of members among the committees to end the chaos, as we have been very late in resolving this file. " 

    He stressed that "the role of the Presidency is an organizational role for the meetings and the work of the committees. Therefore, the powers granted to the presidency are appropriate and necessary for the absence of chaos and disruptions of the committees in the event of identification or reduction. On the contrary, the presidency should be held more responsible in organizing the work of the parliamentary committees and monitoring its work and meetings, Stressing that "the parliamentary committee can not choose its president and vice-chairman and its decision to the existence of a legal imbalance the maximum number of members in the rules of procedure in 22 deputies."


    It is noteworthy that some members of the House of Representatives recently asked to determine the powers of the Presidency of Parliament.
