(Baghdad: Euphrates News) A member of the Committee on Culture and Information MP from the opposition bloc of wisdom, Ali al-Humaidawi, on Thursday, that the prime minister is unable to resolve the file names of candidates for the Board of Trustees of the Iraqi media network.
Al-Humaidawi, told (Euphrates News), "The Board of Trustees of the Iraqi Information Network has now become illegal after the end of the constitutional period," noting that "the decisions issued by the Board of Trustees are illegal on the grounds that the Council did not achieve a quorum."
He added that "the names of candidates for the positions of members of the Board of Trustees of the Iraqi Media Network sent to the Prime Minister for decision," noting that "there are no clear committees in the Prime Minister to choose the final names from the nomination lists."
Al-Humaidawi called on the prime minister to form committees composed of members with media competence to study the names of candidates and choose a new technocrat council, stressing that his committee has recorded many observations about the work of the network recently.
He pointed out that, "his committee addressed the Presidency of the Parliament to approach the Prime Minister on sending the final names of the House of Representatives to vote on them before the performance of their work formally."
