The Higher Education and Scientific Research Committee on Wednesday blamed the Presidency of the Council of Representatives for striking the official working hours in universities, institutes and schools for not modifying the demonstration law since three electoral sessions.
Committee member Riad Mohammed said in a statement, "The House of Representatives bears the greatest responsibility to strike the official attendance of university students, institutes and schools because it did not succeed in amending the law of demonstrations and paragraph 36 of the Constitution, which did not include the place of protest since three election sessions," pointing out that " The House of Representatives has the responsibility to form a committee to follow up the demands of the demonstrators.
He added that "the continuation of the strike for the next week will sound the alarm and the government should intervene directly to achieve the demands of students as it hurts the current school year," noting that "the extension of the academic year is limited to the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research as it is administrative and there are nine provinces did not participate in demonstrations and continuous Al Rasmi. ”
The Committee of Representatives of Education, on Tuesday, that the extension of the current school year because of protests and irregular working hours for several provinces is confined to the Ministry of Education, while showing that it is currently working to extend the school year to complete the curriculum scheduled.
