Member of the House of Representatives MP, Jamal al-Mohammadawi, approved the presidency of the Council of Representatives to complete formal and legal procedures to question the head of the Office of the Shiite endowment.
Al-Mohammadawi said in a statement received (Mawazine News) a copy: "We have obtained the approval of the Presidency of the Parliament to complete formal and legal procedures to question the head of the Shiite Endowment Court for serious financial, legal and administrative violations."
"This is based on article 16 of the Constitution, which stipulates that the House of Representatives has the right to question officials of independent bodies in accordance with procedures relating to ministers and may relieve it by majority."
He pointed out, "We asked the presidency of the Council to determine the date of questioning at the nearest parliamentary session."
In October, al-Mohammadawi began collecting signatures for members of parliament to question the head of the Shiite endowment for financial suspicions and legal and administrative irregularities.
