The Al-Fateh Alliance announced, on Wednesday, that Assad Al-Eidani was officially presented as a candidate for prime minister, indicating that he was presented in agreement with other leaders and awaiting his announcement by the President of the Republic.
The deputy from Al-Fath Uday Awad said to "Al-Maalouma" that he "presented a candidate for the largest bloc that ended and will repeat the previous scenario by presenting a consensus candidate between the political blocs."
He added that "Al-Fath officially presented the governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, to the President of the Republic in an official letter," noting that "it was agreed in principle by the Alliance of Asa'oon on Asaad Al-Eidani, a candidate for prime minister."
He explained that "Parliament is awaiting the position of the President of the Republic by announcing and assigning him to form the next government in preparation for the early elections."
