    The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee announced the completion of investigations into the file of killing and repressing demonstrators in Baghdad and the southern provinces.
    Committee member Abdul-Khaleq Al-Azzawi said that the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee had officially completed the investigation of the file of the assault on the demonstration arenas, whether in Baghdad or the southern governorates, and had submitted the results to Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi as the person authorized to announce the results of the investigation reached by the committee.
    Al-Azzawi pointed to the existence of another investigative committee formed in the Prime Minister by order of Abdul-Mahdi, which worked separately, pointing out that the results of the parliamentary defense committee had nothing to do with the findings of the second committee.
