    {Policy: Al-Furat News} The representative of the Iraqi coalition, Jasim Al-Bakhati, revealed, on Tuesday, the details of the compromise solution adopted by the House of Representatives in contrast to the dollar exchange rate.

    Al-Bakhati said {to the Euphrates News} that "raising the dollar exchange rate generated a state of financial concerns and commitments, and today there is almost the same consensus within the House of Representatives to reduce the price; but the government took a firm stance on adopting this project through the white paper and taking the opinion of the political blocs." 
    He explained, "We have proposed a more flexible solution in determining the exchange rate of the dollar, and the best solution is the middle and reducing it to 135 dinars per dollar, provided that the government bears 20% of the value of the reduction, and the citizen and the trader 10%."
    Al-Bakhati added, "Surprising the citizen by raising it to 145 without prior warning, it has financial consequences that harm the Iraqi dinar."

    Al-Bakhati held the Ministry of Trade "responsible for the corruption of the ration card items."
    Last Sunday, the House of Representatives failed to hold a session to vote on the 2021 budget bill for the continuation of differences between the parliamentary blocs, and changing the dollar exchange rate became one of the budget dilemmas.
    Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi said during the cabinet session held today, Tuesday, "We hope to stay away from auctions in the issue of the dollar exchange rate, as the decision was taken by the Central Bank according to a targeted vision and strategy, and we began to see the results on the growth of monetary reserves, and on Iraq's international credit rating." .
    "We look forward to expediting the passage of the federal budget law, and the paragraphs it contains that address the needs of the poorest classes, and support service projects that affect the lives of citizens," he added.
