    Baghdad Today - Erbil
Financial and economic expert, Hevidar Shaaban, confirmed today, Thursday (November 14, 2024), that the regional government will receive from Baghdad nearly 533 billion dinars to finance employees’ salaries.
Shaaban said in an interview with Baghdad Today that "according to the agreements between the regional government and Al-Sudani, it is expected that the Kurdistan Regional Government will receive between 450 and 533 billion dinars as a first installment, with the aim of financing the salaries of employees for last October."
He added, "The salaries of the Kurdistan Regional Government employees will be distributed on Sunday and Monday of next week, and the distribution will be completed within 7 days."
Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani concluded his visit to the Kurdistan Region yesterday evening, Wednesday, and returned to the capital, Baghdad .
Al-Sudani arrived in Erbil yesterday morning and met with the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, the President of the Region, Nechirvan Barzani, the President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani, and the Kurdish forces that won the recent Kurdistan Parliament elections .
He then headed to Sulaymaniyah and met with the leadership of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, headed by Paval Talabani, and the rest of the Kurdish forces in the province .
Al-Sudani's talks focused on resolving the remaining outstanding issues between Baghdad and the region, most notably salaries, resuming Kurdistan's oil exports, and accelerating the formation of the new regional government, in addition to regional developments and unifying the Iraqi position on them.
