    Baghdad Today - Tehran 
    Iranian media reported on Thursday (November 14, 2024) that the car of Mohammad Atabek, the Iranian Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade, who was on his way to Kurdistan Province in northwestern Iran to visit industrial and mining projects, was involved in a traffic accident on the highway from Karaj to Qazvin, and he was transferred to a Karaj hospital for treatment.
    According to the Islamic Republic News Agency, the accident occurred at 5:00 a.m. on Thursday on the Karaj-Qazvin highway.
    Bakhtiar Khaliqi, the Director General of Industry, Mines and Trade in Kurdistan, announced the cancellation of the minister's visit to Kurdistan today, and said: "There was no serious incident involving Minister Mohammad Atabek and his companions, and they are in good health."
    Khaleghi added, "Minister Mohammad Atabek, 66, was transferred to Karaj Hospital, west of Tehran, and is currently being treated. His injury is not serious."
    He announced that despite this incident, the Minister of Security's advisors and his specialized assistants are present in the province and the scheduled travel plans are being implemented.
