The Martyrs Foundation confirmed, on Wednesday, that it is awaiting instructions to begin compensating the victims of Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital, while indicating that the Al-Habibiya tragedy file will be announced in the coming days.
The Director General of the Department of Victims of Terrorism and Military Operations at the Martyrs Foundation Tariq Al-Mandalawi, according to the official agency, said, "The Martyrs Foundation is awaiting instructions to implement the directives of the Cabinet's decision to include the wounded and martyrs of Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital in Law No. 20 of 2009."
He continued, "The Foundation will collect data and visit the families of the martyrs due to the Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital fire accident."
Victims of the Al Habibiya explosion and
pointed out that "the Martyrs Foundation has recorded the data of the martyrs as a result of the car bombing in the Habibiya area, as well as the wounded."
He explained that "
Al-Mandalawi confirmed, "There are more than 38 martyrs and 61 injured in the tragedy of Tayaran Square. The martyrs' transactions were completed in full, and retirement IDs were distributed among them, after there was a visit to Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, who in turn granted each martyr family 5 million dinars."
He explained that "after conducting a survey it was found that there were more than 11 martyrs among the employees, as we transferred their files to their ministries for completion. As for the kesbah, their transactions were completed completely through the single window."
The Cabinet voted on a law regulating the rights of the victims of Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital and referring it to Parliament.
