    The Martyrs Foundation seeks to determine the fate of more than 60,000 remains of victims of the former dictatorial regime, including 250 martyrs of the Spyker massacre in Salah al-Din Governorate.
    The newspaper "Al-Sabah", and seen by Sada Agency, quoted an official source at the Foundation as saying, "The meeting that the Foundation's Chairman Ali Al-Mabraqq met with a delegation from the Spyker Victims Organization, discussing the obstacles facing the process of determining the fate of the victims of the Spyker massacre that occurred in 2014 within the presidential palaces area In Salah Al-Dessin Governorate, in order to accelerate the payment of financial dues to their families. ”
    He disclosed, “The presence of 250 unidentified remains of them who were secured in a cemetery in the Najaf governorate,” noting that his department “seeks to take actual measures to expedite the determination of their fate and conduct DNA tests on their remains by the specialized forensic teams” .
    The source pointed out that "determining the fate of the victims is one of the first steps for their redress," noting that "the process of compensation and disbursement of their entitlements does not take place without the completion of the identification file first, which the institution is working to accomplish during the current stage in coordination with the relevant competent authorities."
    In the same context, he affirmed that "the establishment has not yet been able to address the negative effects of the resurrected emission, whether financially, socially or psychologically due to reasons beyond its control", noting that "many parties did not deal seriously with the file of the rights of the former regime's extermination."
    He revealed, "The presence of more than 60,000 registered martyrs who have died and their remains have not been found so far," noting that "their excavations are taking place in all governorates of the country by diagnosing sites of mass graves that are supposed to contain their remains."
    He pointed out that "many of the outstanding files with the institution seek to activate it, because stopping it causes a loss of the rights of martyrs' families, especially since the institution's duties towards martyrs are not only financial grants, but include social and health care, however, the rights of the families of martyrs are still suspended and allocations are scarce."
    He disclosed, “The Foundation’s intention to submit an official letter to the House of Representatives in order to allocate one trillion dinars within the budget for the current year 2020 in order to fulfill all these rights, in addition to activating the monetary allowance for the plot of land, especially in the governorate of Baghdad in which the families of the martyrs did not receive any plot of land or The cash allowance of 80 million dinars.
