She added that "the price of a minute for a call within the project’s network from one optical phone to another is only five dinars, while the price from a optical phone to a mobile phone is 50 dinars," noting "the allocation of special numbers to book lines through the customer service program."

The ministry had announced in November of last year that it was "about to complete the delivery of millions of high-speed Internet lines to every home, as well as almost free landlines."

For his part, Deputy CEO of Earthlink, Alaa Jassim, revealed that the optical cable service was launched in the Zayouna area, and the start was at 2,000 homes, indicating that the Ministry’s revenues were 3 times higher than previous revenues.
He explained that "the next two months we will open 15 new areas and the next two months we will open 65 other areas, and within 3 years more than 90% of Iraq will be covered by this service."
